![]() ![]() Well, it’s video game time, guys! Taken on Nintendo Switch (Handheld/Unattached) You may meet a character who has a deep connection to your current position, who can play an important role later. Much of Potion Permit’s story has you running around town in an attempt to satisfy everyone’s whims, be it making friends or participating in fetch quests through the local bulletin board, but each Completed quests will unlock a mystery section with the next story together like a puzzle. So although you are quickly transported to a secluded forest and instructed that your sole purpose is to heal the townsfolk of any unwanted illness, the game focuses on distaste for the capital and its chemists and demands that you prove yourself. But upon arrival, the townspeople turn a cold shoulder towards you and don’t explain why. You have been called to Moonbury through a special request sent by the mayor, so you must accept. Potion Permit instantly puts you in the role of the village chemist. However, unlike most life simulation currently dominating the eShop, Potion Permit presents no crops to grow and no farm animals, instead relying on finding medicinal herbs to help those around town, which could be a A welcome change for sim life fans who have had their fill of farming. So despite the gore, I would let my hypothetical teenager play this.Taken on Nintendo Switch (Handheld/Unattached)įrom developer MassHive Media, License Potion is a sweet little social encounter simulation adventure RPG. Overall, the game has a lot of gore, but in the end you’re doing the right thing. Unlike GTA, though, where you’re killing innocents, these people are on the side of trying to turn the previously mentioned children into horrible cyborg-soldiers. The main goal in the game is saving a bunch of children from being manipulated into becoming horrible cyborg-soldiers, so morally you’re doing the right thing overall. It does sort of brush that off pretty quickly though. It does acknowledge this, though, by stating that despite Raiden-the protagonist- constantly talking about his good morals and ideals, he is the one slicing people open. The main way the player regains health is by using their sword to slice enemies in half and rip out their spine for “electrolytes”. ![]() I’ll begin by saying that I love this game. The last thing I want to talk about is the role models, Raiden is a man who has suffered so much in his life, born in Liberia a war torn nation in the middle of a civil war he was forced to become a child soldier and kill just to survive not to mention all the other things he has gone through and even after all that he is still going strong fighting his own war for what he believes is right and protecting the weak disregarding anyone who gets in the way of him protecting the most frail members of our society. ![]() This scene could help teach your child that despite the fact the fact that someone is on the opposing team they are still humans with emotions, dreams and ambitions that sometimes you need to show compassion to someone who is on the other side. This game also has some good messages, in the fourth mission one of the antagonists (Samuel Rodrigues or better known as Jetstream Sam) confronts Raiden about his mindless slaughter of men who work for Desperado and World Marshal (the bad guys in the story) because these men are usually former soldiers who lost limbs and are out of work starving on the streets not being able to provide for their family and as Sam says "Get surgery (to become cyborgs) to fight God knows where" so they have no choice in the matter and while they aren't 100% innocent they are people who are brutally murdered by Raiden with no remorse. One of these that I vividly remember is when Kevin Washington (friend of Raiden) gives a gist of what's talked about in Richard Dawkins book, The Selfish Gene and he said it in an easy to digest way that made me want to read the full book. ![]() I think this game actually has a surprising amount of educational value, in many of the codecs the characters converse about topics that are relevant to the story. And that's the wrong stuff I noticed in their review so now its time for own opinion about if this is a game that kids should be playing. Also the company that Raiden works for is not called Maverick Enterprises its actually called Maverick Security Consulting Incorporated. Abkhazia is not a fictional country it is a real political entity that exists although its only recognized by Russia. First off they got a few things wrong in the review. ![]()
